A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Department of Forest and Park Services and Natural Resources Development Corporation Limited on May 22, 2023 led by Hon’ble Director, DoFPS and Officiating Chief Executive Officer, NRDCL in presence of Dasho Karma Tshering, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Dasho Karma Tshiteem, Chairman of NRDCL Board.
Through the signing of this MoU, the existing Timber Extraction and Distribution Modality, 2019 is hereby repealed. Henceforth, all sand, stone and timber extraction activities shall be guided by the terms and conditions as prescribed in this MoU.
